Boston developer John P. Drew has been appointed to the board of directors of the Trust for the National Mall, the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service dedicated to restoring and improving the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

Drew is the president and chief executive of Trade Center Management Associates LLC, which manages, leases, and operates the 3.1-million-square-foot Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.

A Boston College graduate, Drew is also vice president of the Drew Co., a Boston-based real estate management and development company founded by his father, John E. Drew.

The Drew Co. is known for such local projects as the Seaport Hotel, the Seaport World Trade Center Complex, and Waterside Place.

Also appointed to the National Mall board was Todd A. Walker, a vice president of Altria Client Services.

In a statement, Caroline Cunningham, president of the Trust for the National Mall, commented on the two new board members.

“Their professional experience and enthusiasm for our cause provide added momentum for the Campaign for the National Mall as we advance our fund-raising and awareness efforts in 2015 and beyond,” Cunningham said.
