WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 30, 2014) — Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (VWGoA) will present the Trust for the National Mall, the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service dedicated to restoring and improving the National Mall, with a 2014 VW Touareg on Monday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m. on the National Mall.
The SUV, which will be wrapped in the Trust for the National Mall’s logo, will be used by the organization to further its mission of raising awareness and providing hands-on support for the continued restoration of America’s Front Yard. In addition, dozens of Volkswagen employees will join the Trust for the National Mall and the National Park Service for a Day of Service cleaning up after the July 4th festivities on the National Mall. VWGoA employees from the company’s Herndon, Virginia headquarters will donate approximately 250 hours of service to cleaning up after the July 4th weekend.

In May 2013, Volkswagen Group of America became a strategic partner of the Trust for the National Mall when the iconic car company committed a gift of $10 million to the organization. The donation, which will be granted over a five-year period, is designed to sustain and advance the Trust’s efforts to preserve and protect the National Mall.
