WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 13, 2012) – The Trust for the National Mall, the official non-profit partner of the National Park Service dedicated to restoring and improving the National Mall, announced today that John P. Drew, President and Chief Executive Officer of Trade Center Management Associates, and Barbara Schaefer McDuffie, Director at Baker Tilly, have been named its 2012 – 2013 Corporate Committee Co-Chairs.

The Corporate Committee plays an essential role in the Trust’s campaign by creating and sustaining partnerships with corporations in the Washington region and across America.  This year, the Committee raised almost $900,000 in corporate sponsorships.  As Co-Chairs, Drew and McDuffie will raise funds for the Trust through special events and programs that engage corporate sponsors.

John P. Drew is the President and CEO of Trade Center Management Associates, a subsidiary of the Drew Company and the private sector building management and hospitality service provider for the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.  Drew has served on the Corporate Committee since 2010, and has been a sponsor of the Trust’s annual Benefit Luncheon.

Barbara Schaefer McDuffie is the Director of Business Development and Real Estate at Baker Tilly, a full-service accounting and advisory firm. McDuffie previously served as the Corporate Committee’s Recruitment Chair.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), is a founder and co-chair of the Lombardi Foundation Women & Wine annual dinner benefiting breast cancer research, and has served on the advisory boards for DC CREW, Historic Charleston Foundation and the National Museum for Women in the Arts.

Since it was founded in 2009, the Trust’s Corporate Committee has raised nearly $4 million and engaged more than 175 corporate sponsors for the Trust’s annual Benefit Luncheon and Ball on the Mall.
